"Moonshadow" is the second Embryo Transfer Shire born here at Black Forest Shires.  His surrogate mom, Jewel the Belgian, is seen in all the pictures.  Don't let the pictures fool you, this is a pure-bred, blue-blooded English Shire horse.   

This colt seems to have the angles a good shire horse should have!  His shoulder rivals that of his champion sire.  He is very heads up, and has beautiful legs, shoulder and hip.  His action is amazing and he has 4 nice white socks, and a nice big blaze.  He is sweet and friendly, and has been imprinted and handled since birth.  He is pending registration with the Shire Horse Society in England, and is also eligible for registration in the the American Shire Horse Association.  This colt's sire and dam are both well over 18 honest hands, and he already has some serious size to him.  He will be a phenomenal show horse, and, with his elite pedigree and great build, would make a great addition to anyone's breeding herd.

10-30-01.  Spent some time taking some pictures of Moon today.  WOW, this colt is really growing up to be a good one!  He is the spitting image of his dad!  He is getting BIG already, and can move like you can't believe!  He is 2 1/2 months old in these pictures.  There were so many good ones that I couldn't pick, so I put most all of them!
