Black Forest Ideal Luck
(2005 filly from National Champion parents!)
2003 Black colt from Gracie and Ideal with 4 high whites and a blaze (his tail will turn black with age).  This flashy boy "Lucky", as we call him, is already over 17 hands at just over 2 years old.  He's got awesome, show-winning legs, and a beautiful shape to him.   He's the last son of Ideal born on-farm before we lost Ideal in September, 2003.  His father is a legendary champion stallion, and his mother, "Gracie" is a multi-champion mare and a Breyer model, so this colt already has quite a 'name' for himself.  He should make a great herd sire for someone.  Don't miss your chance to own the last of a bloodline!  Price:  $10,000 - SOLD

Update:  August, 2005.  Lucky has been in fitting and training and is being shown in many draft horse shows this season.  This dynamic colt has what it takes to take someone to the top in the draft horse breeding or hitch world.  This colt has presence to spare, and action that can't be beat.  With his charisma, flash and AMAZING action this could would make the "ideal" lead horse in a feathered hitch.  Check out the pictures, they speak for themselves!  Photos at the Colorado Horse Park draft horse show, Lucky took grand champion stallion (all draft breeds) honors (not bad for his first show!).

Lucky showed in the open draft cart class at the Colorado Draft Horse classic, and was 2nd out of about 8 against the "big boys" and beat out all of the other shire stallions and geldings driving that day!
Lucky was also shown at the LA county fair and regional shire show, in halter and in cart.  He won his prep class (5 entries, all breeds in single cart), and was in the top ribbons for all the other cart classes he showed in, even though he was the only driven 2 year old showing at that event!  He beat some of the best hitch horses in the country at both of these events, and he's just begun his career!  At the LA show, (the western regional shire show) he was junior champion stallion, AND reserve overall champion stallion, beating out about a dozen other shire stallions and colts showing that day!  He even edged out a multi national champion mature stallion to win the reserve overall champion position, as only a 2 year old!   This colt is indeed making his mark in the draft horse world, going from the pasture to the ribbons in just a few months (this boy had lived his whole life out in the pasture with the mares til a couple of months before his first show, when we sent him to Kevin Paul and Sheila Grange to be fitted and broke.  The rest, as they say, is history!)

Can you say MOVE?  Lucky shows the hitch horses how it's done!  You can't get much flashier than this boy!

And presence to spare.  This guy just stops traffic!

LA County Fair, Western Regional Shire show.  Sept, 05.  This is the lineup of stallions, aged and young after the classes, competing for the championships.  Ruskington Danny (the big 4 year old bay belonging to Heart Mountain Shires) was champ, Lucky stood reserve to him (that's Lucky furthest left)!
