Black Forest Shires & Gypsy Horses - Farm

Here is our farm.  It's 26 acres on one side of the road, with an additional 14 acres leased on the other side of the road.  You will see our 1912 three level red barn and silo in the picture, as well as the corrals and paddocks around the house and barn.  For those web cam buffs, the silver topped structure just 'below' the house is the 100 year old Potato shed, which is now our foaling stall.  It's not far from our bedroom door, so it makes it convenient for those late-night foalings!

If you look close in the pictures, you will see horses on both sides of the road.  Everything is pretty brown in the picture, as when it was taken, we were in the midst of a 2 year drought.  The only green is near the creek and the pond in the pasture.

Who took the pictures?  Jeff did!  He and a local friend who is a pilot played hooky that weekend, and went up to get some aerial shots of the farm (among other things).  Thomas and I were on the deck waving at them on the other side of the house!
